WHEN THE STUDENT IS READY |

Many years ago, I was a new student of Abraham, loving the teachings and excited about the possibility of big changes in my life. I lived in Tarrytown, NY, teaching yoga and doing some freelance writing. Though I had little extra money at the time, I decided to check the Abraham-Hicks website for information about the workshops. I thought that IF they listed one in the NY-NJ-CT area sometime in the next few months, I would consider finding a way to fund it. As I perused their schedule, my jaw dropped to see that they would be in Tarrytown, NY that very weekend! Coincidence? Hmmm. Of course, I found a way to go. The event was held at a hotel that was so close to home that I walked there that morning. I was one of the first to arrive, and helped myself to a cup of coffee at the back of the room. Excited and open, I wondered what would happen at the workshop. A few minutes passed, and a man walked over to the coffee urn. We struck up a conversation. It was easy and interesting. Jeff told me of some of the reasons for his attendance - a number of deaths in his family had led to some depression and he was hoping Abraham could help him. Then he asked me what I do. I told him that I was a songwriter, using music in healing ways in hospice and hospitals. I went on to share that I was hoping to record a CD as soon as I could put the financing together. Jeff said, “I'd like to help you with your CD. It sounds like your music would benefit a lot of people. Please let me know when you get closer to recording and I'll contribute some money to the project.” Jeff was true to his word. He gave me a check for $1000 that enabled me to hire a percussionist for my first CD, TRANSITIONS - Music to Soothe the Soul. Another coincidence? Hardly! Since that fateful day almost 10 years ago, TRANSITIONS has sold thousands of copies around the world, bringing joy, love and healing with each song. Jeff was the very first person I met at an Abraham workshop! He let me know, without a doubt, that my glorious life was unfolding already! © 2006 S.
